Sure do wish some enterprising journalist would investigate Heinrich. Shelton State just came off of academic probation under his watch. And the SBOE is promoting him? SBOE should demand its money back from the search committee. It was worthless.
I apologize for misunderstanding the video. I scrolled down and was distracted by the comments of others… If you’ll forgive me, and bear with me – this is my prayer for the Alabama GOP: That we will live as God’s chosen people, dedicated and cherished by Him. That we will clothe ourselves in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience… That you will bear with me – that we all will bear with one another… Forgiving one another – as Christ also forgave us. That we will cloth ourselves in love, which holds all other qualities together, completing them… That we will pursue Christ’s enabling power to live in right relationship with one another. That this unifying power of Christ’s will dictate our every decision, as we were designed and destined to function as one united body… That whatever we do and whatever we say, we will do and say as representatives of the Lord Jesus… Colossians 3:12-17 I pray with all my heart that next weeks blog will confirm the answer to this prayer.
I find this post very distressing – not so much for the individual to whom it is directed, but for the obvious conspiracy by any who might profess to be Christians. In these frequent assaults, I fail to see the fruit of the Spirit – love (one another as oneself), joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness… But instead clearly recognize the fruit: hatred, contentions, selfish ambitions, dissensions… as described in Galatian 5, “of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past [Cliff], that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:20-21) If we have something against a brother, we are commanded to go directly to that individual privately, handling it in the manner prescribed by Matthew 5 and 18, the latter chapter giving a very stern warning to those who violate this command. The theme is further woven through Matthew – following “The Lord’s Prayer” Jesus concluded with: “If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:14 & 15) In considering the crux of the law – “Do unto others as you desire others to do unto you,” I wonder how many within this conspiracy against another Christian would want others scheming in like manner against them? Every tree is known by its fruit. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7
Yes, “well hell”,an update on armistead popping up at events he isn’t invited to would definitely make the R&R list! Except that is neither a rumor nor a rumbling…it’s true!!!
When can we expect our fix of what I shall call “Goat Hill Crack” for this week? Also, how will Inside Alabama Politics put put an October issue without the August 22 R&R to rely on?
I think I’ll probably hold off until next week and roll everything into one post.
Now that’s an excellent question regarding Inside Alabama Politics. They provide a valuable service, of course, by reminding everyone of the things we may have forgotten from several of weeks ago.
First comment on the site just to let you know that this couldn’t be more true. The office I’m in has been checking back frequently this morning wondering when it was coming.

All gods children will say “amen” if armistead will resign.

I meant to write: I pray… that next week and every week’s blog will confirm the answer to this prayer…

First of all, this comment doesn’t even make sense…to whom is this post “directed”?
But even if this comment did make sense…while riding on your righteous high horse, you obviously missed the irony in posting it publicly.
I misunderstood, jumped to a conclusion, descend from an inappropriate high horse, and humbly, publicly ask your forgiveness.
Not a problem, Mrs. Connie. Thanks for clarifying.

I think this has the feel of ESPN “is it Monday yet?” Commercials. I pull this site up Wednesday morning and refresh constantly while waiting.
Haha and I appreciate that. I hated to let everyone down this morning.

I have to say I was looking forward to you pointing out the conduct of a certain party “leader” at the Romney fundraiser. Maybe next week?

…more realistic than you probably realize.
